At Ease
It’s been a relatively mild winter here in New England, with cool temps, but little snow. This weather has been ideal for those of us that like to get out and about during the winter season, without heavy boots and coats. Unfortunately, there’s a potential downside, that is letting your boat oversight guard down, opening the door to winter storage damage. Without huge snowdrifts, pelting snow and howling winds, it’s easy to forget to check the boat for slipped or torn winter covers, shifting jack stands, or a half dozen other conditions which can create havoc over the winter layup. So, don’t get lulled into a false sense of security this winter; check the boat on a regular schedule and you’ll be glad you did.
