Mid-Winter Surveys
January 29, 2024
It’s mid-January, the ambient temperature is about 30 degrees, and a light snow flurry is filling the air with flakes. Against this backdrop it seems peculiar to be talking about boat surveys. Yet, according to a few local surveyors, business is good. Clients include boaters that want to ensure a “no-surprise” boat purchase and boat owners that want to understand the overall condition of their existing craft prior to investing large sums into power and system updates. While business is good, it’s likely to be easier to schedule a survey in February rather than April. So, if you need an expert opinion, reach out to your local surveyor soon to avoid the spring rush.
