Stormy Weather
It’s late October and we’re still in the active Hurricane season as evidenced by current headlines about the imminent landfall of Hurricane Melissa, a Cat 5 Storm in Jamaica.
This Hurricane will likely have little affect on the U.S. eastern seaboard, but others that may follow could make an impact. The first Smart Boating show focused on protecting your boat in event of a hurricane, and some good follow-up shows have been produced since then, as well. If you’re concerned at all, the shows will provide a good review for you.
Stormy weather is one of the largest challenges encountered by boaters. Yet with a few basic moves, the probabilities of boat damage or bodily harm can be measurably reduced. Keep your eye on this area, as we’re still in the season and anything can happen.
