Hands-On
Last week, we visited Chase Small Craft in Saco, Maine and learned how small wood kit rowboats, sailboats, and outboards were designed and manufactured. It was an interesting and well-thought process which inspired confidence in the end product, a seaworthy small craft. If you’re half-way handy and interested in building a boat with your own hands, a boat kit might be a viable alternative to building from scratch. Take a glance at the show and decide for yourself if this path is right for you.
