Winter Water Connection

It’s February 16th and the temperature is 28 degrees and dropping. The sub-freezing temperatures are coupled with winds which are predicted to gust up to 50 knots. it’s clear that it’s not a good boating day here in the Northeast.

Now you could amuse yourself by going ice-fishing, or engaging in some small project under the boat cover. But, with temps this low, a bit more heat is desirable. A good back-up strategy is to find yourself an interesting boating book, magazine, or Internet website to view while you while you curl up next to a heat source in your house.

Now, There are lots of topics to learn about: new boats, new engines, new destinations, boat maintenance and repairs, etc. And the writings can entertain, inform, and educate, or perhaps all three, simultaneously.

So, if you’re feeling a bit “off” from being separated from your boat, and the good times that go with it, consider reading up a bit. It will be a nice break and will help you weather another New England winter.
