Boat Show Hiatus

March 16, 2021

It’s that time of the year again, when boat shows flourish like spring flowers. Unfortunately, CV-19 has put a damper on that action, with most in-person boat shows shelved around the country this year.

There are a few exceptions such as the Annapolis Spring Sailboat show which, combined with the Bay Bridge Boat Show, is slated to run April 15-18, and the Connecticut Spring Boat show, scheduled for April 30 – May 2.

Some areas and entities are hosting hybrid or completely digital shows. Soundings Trade offers a good example of a digital show, featuring product reviews, boat tests, interviews and more, on its home page.

Truthfully, it’s relatively scarce picking out there for large scale boating events. But, most show-rooms are still open and many of us already have a good boat to fall back on. So, we’ll just have to continue to be patient and let this pandemic pass over like a summer squall. The outlook will improve soon, it always does.
