It’s the first week of January and the gold rush is on. Smart boaters that received Christmas gift certificates to their favorite marine retailers are flocking to the stores to take advantage of winter clearance sales. One local marine retailer is offering up to 50% off clothing, 25% off fishing gear, 25% off electronics, and 30% off safety equipment. Gift certificates can be used all year long, however, there are times when your “money” just goes further and this is one of them. So, if you were lucky enough to garner a gift certificate or two over the holidays, take a look at what your favorite marine retailer is offering to see if you can score a post-Holiday deal, too.
