Stormy Weather Ahead
It is the middle of the Hurricane season and the named storm count is mounting. This season, the count is predicted to break previously established records. Hurricanes, characterized by sustained winds of at least 74 miles per hour, and accompanied by torrential rainfall and waterfront surges, are really bad news for boaters. Some simple tips: remove the boat from the water if possible, and double-up on lines and chaffing gear and seal-off everything if you have to stay in the water.
