Crossing Paths
Just last weekend while boating on Cape Ann, a dangerous situation arose between two boats crossing paths. A large sailboat, about 45-50’ long, under power, was exiting a mooring field that was protected from the open ocean by a tall granite breakwater.
Things Happen Fast
Recently, a friend, was returning from the mooring with three friends in a small dinghy. As they pulled up to the dock, one friend hopped out and tried to hold the boat close to the dock.

New Products at the Maine Boatbuilders Show
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending annual Maine Boatbuilders Show in Portland, ME. The show, held in its traditional location on the Portland waterfront was packed with marine vendors selling everything from small rowing skiffs to large expensive powerboats.
